The full addresses of the two properties in Southsea and the joining instructions will be provided about a week before the date. The houses that we will see are both private homes.
We will visit two houses in one day. This training day will simulate a real-life survey day and will be a valuable opportunity to experience how surveyors need to collect data, make decisions and think about how they report the findings to the client.
Topics covered:
* Consider whether a Level 2 or Level 3 survey is the best option for each house
* Consider what is the difference between a ‘poor’ survey report and a ‘competent’ survey report
* Consider common complaints about survey reports that use Condition Ratings – CR1, CR2 and CR3
* Learn about defects commonly found in traditional construction
* Learn about decision making and providing good advice to a client
* Discuss when a further investigation is really needed and how to report that advice
