Repurposing historic buildings for a better world: Celebrating 50 years of historic buildings conservation and ensuring we prepare for future challenges.
Welcome to a day-long programme at an iconic Hampshire landmark, packed with talks, hands-on workshops, demonstrations, discussions and a rare tour around Hampshire’s only working windmill.
Join us as we celebrate 50 years of Hampshire Buildings Preservation Trust’s (HBPT) legacy on key historic buildings across the county and look ahead towards the next half century and the important sector work still to be carried out.
Amongst the speakers will be Daniel Ayre, Winchester Conservation Office; built heritage writer and campaigner Celia Clark; author and retired architect Bill Fergie and HBPT Chairman Peter Goodship to share their expertise and case studies.
Workshops include traditional brick making and a timber frame structures demonstration.
Develop your skills, network with industry specialists in an inspirational setting and benefit from a day of reflecting over the last 50 years and the challenges facing the sector in the next, including a panel discussion on the intersection of craft, policy and climate.
Full programme, booking details and further information will be available on www.hbpt.org
