Date:<\/strong> Thursday 16 July 2026, 9.45 – 12.00<\/p>\n Where:<\/strong> Farnham Museum, 38 West Street A rare and unique opportunity to view at close hand ongoing sensitive brickwork repairs, including the entire rebuilding of the parapet and cornice being undertaken as part of extensive repair works taking place to the fa\u00e7ade of Farnham Museum (aka Wilmer House) a Grade I listed building, dating to 1718, built for local hop merchant John Thorne and now owned by Waverley Borough Council. The entire frontage of the building is constructed in rubbed brick and was described by architectural historian Nathanial Lloyd \u201cperhaps the most beautiful example extant of the Doric order interpreted in brick.\u201d There are some good sections of panelling internally as part of the museum which has a slightly unusual plan form.<\/p>\n AGENDA (precise timings TBC)
