{"id":6546,"date":"2017-08-07T11:04:13","date_gmt":"2017-08-07T10:04:13","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ihbc.org.uk\/events\/?p=6546"},"modified":"2017-08-03T14:20:12","modified_gmt":"2017-08-03T13:20:12","slug":"communicating-world-heritage-conference","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/events200826230.live-website.com\/?p=6546","title":{"rendered":"Communicating World Heritage Conference"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>7 &#8211; 10 October 2017<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong> Museum of Iron in Coalbrookdale<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>As part of the AHRC Collaborative doctoral research between the Ironbridge International Institute for Cultural Heritage (IIICH), University of Birmingham and IGMT, a two day conference is planned for the 7-8<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0October 2017.<\/p>\n<p>The conference is the product of the research programme which started in 2014 and has been focussed on the Ironbridge Gorge World Heritage Site. The four researchers have been examining the relationships that World Heritage Sites share with different communities of interest in communicating World Heritage Values.<\/p>\n<p>The research themes were Education within the World Heritage Site (Jamie Davies), Specialist groups and World Heritage- Ironbridge Gorge as an Industrial World Heritage Site (Joe Raine), Tourism within Ironbridge Gorge World Heritage Site (Coralie Acheson) and the communities of Ironbridge Gorge World Heritage Site (Malgorzata Trelka).<\/p>\n<p>The event will immediately be followed (9th-10th of October) by the third annual conference of World Heritage UK where practioners will join to explore the many ways to communicate World Heritage to different audiences.<\/p>\n<p>Delegates will hear from some of the most influential Leaders in Heritage before considering the key audiences to target in a series of session themes.
