The Ecclesiological Society – Annual Conference: The Twentieth-Century Cathedral
4 October
£75
This year’s conference looks at the phenomenon of the ongoing building and designation of new cathedrals in the twentieth century by the Church of England and the Roman Catholic Church. Expert speakers will address a variety of stimulating questions, including why new cathedrals were built in an increasingly secular world, and why some were newly built while others adapted from existing parish churches. The day will be structured around an Anglican morning and a Roman Catholic afternoon.
