Nottingham Historic Building Trust: Meeting of Minds- Historic Buildings in Town Centres

On Thursday 10 September, the Nottingham Historic Building Trust (NHBT) is hosting an event at the Grade II* listed People’s Hall in Nottingham, and I would be delighted if you could join us.

We want to bring together a meeting of minds. The afternoon will bring together specialists from across the heritage, planning, conservation, property and funding sectors to share experience, discuss case studies (for better or worse), and explore what makes town centre heritage regeneration projects succeed.

Through a series of short presentations and plenary discussions, we hope to begin developing a practical framework for the restoration and sustainable reuse of distressed historic buildings in town centres, using the People’s Hall as the starting point for a much wider conversation. We hope this event can prove a catalyst for continued debate.
