9 Nov 2013
Dunkeld
The conference will be organised by a partnership of several organisations: RCAHMS, Archaeology Scotland, Northlight Heritage, Historic Scotland, Perth and Kinross Heritage Trust, The SCAPE Trust, Historic Scotland and the National Trust for Scotland. As before, the conference will be a one day event, but there will also be optional visits to local sites on the Sunday (November 10th).
The conference will be broadly similar to last year – a mix of formal presentations in the main hall, coupled with a series of smaller workshops and discussions on selected themes, with space available for displays. The emphasis, as always, will be on showcasing contributions from volunteers and community groups, and on providing a forum for networking and the exchange of news and ideas. This year we will be introducing minor alterations to the format to give more time for workshops and discussions, with improved display space and the introduction of ‘poster sessions’ of very short presentations given to small groups of delegates gathered round displays.
