Plas Newydd is about to start installing one of the first and certainly largest marine source heat pumps in the UK to replace the large oil heating system.
In March 2014 the system will be mid build for delegates to see the process. The National Trust, contractors and suppliers will be on hand to share lessons, the good aspects and the challenges.
Discussion and tours will include field scale PV, dynamic heat modelling, the site piloted and developed for National Trust’s new low energy chandelier LED lighting and so on.
