31 March 2017
London
There are more than 10,000 Conservation Areas in England. Have they achieved their aim of preserving and enhancing the special places identified locally as being important to communities? How successful have regeneration schemes been? And has the public realm been overlooked?
The 2017 ASCHB Conference on 31st March 2017 at the Institution of Civil Engineers will have three sessions:
Conservation Areas: Where did they come from and what have they achieved?
The Management of Historic Places: Regeneration or Gentrification?
The Wider Picture: Public Realm
Speakers will include Laura Sandys, Carol Pyrah, Sir Donald Insall, Colin J Davis and Professor John Pendlebury.
