SAVE LAUNCHES FREE PROGRAMME OF EVENTS AT NATIONAL FESTIVALS TO CELEBRATE 50TH ANNIVERSARY

This September, SAVE Britain’s Heritage marks its 50th anniversary by joining the national Heritage Open Days programme in England, the national Doors Open Days programme in Scotland, and Open House London, the capital’s festival of architecture. SAVE will present a free programme of online and in-person events in Norwich and Glasgow, alongside the digital premiere of its new anniversary film.

From mills and terraces to department stores and town halls, SAVE has championed the reuse of historic buildings for 50 years. These events invite the public to discover how threatened heritage can be reimagined as a resource for sustainable growth, creativity and community life.

In London (13-21 September), as part of Open House London, SAVE is also contributing to the festival with tours exploring the West End and Mayfair. While these events are now sold out, the public is encouraged to take part in the wider Open House programme, which offers free access to hundreds of buildings across the capital.
