Join the Victorian Society in-person or online for its Spring Lecture series, ‘Heroines and Heroes of the Arts & Crafts Movement’. The in-person lectures will take place at NYU London on the Strand, and will be live-streamed, or available to view later as a recording. Although it might be thought that there is little more to be learned about its leading practitioners, the Society’s speakers will be drawing on a large amount of new research, much of which is highlighting the often-neglected role played by women in the Movement, which remains of direct relevance to architects, artists and designers today. Subjects include: Philip Webb, Gertrude Jekyll, Edwin Lutyens, Phoebe Anna Traquair, Charles Rennie Mackintosh & Margaret Macdonald, May Morris and Christopher Whall.
Cost: £6 – £90
Buy 7 lectures for the price of 6 whether online or in-person! Tickets can be purchased for in-person or online for a single lecture or as a non-member or member for the whole series.
