HTF Director Noel James said: ‘The HTF is delighted to be maintaining our ongoing link with the IHBC with its sponsorship of one of our free public seminars on the Historic Built Environment: Dave Chetwyn on ‘Living Heritage – Planning for the 21st century’

HTF Chair, Dave Chetwyn, will take a critical look at heritage in the 2^nd decade of the 21^st century and question its role in addressing current issues, including the need to ensure growth is both sustainable and inclusive. He will examine current trends, including the shrinking of the public sector and the growth of community-led initiatives, such as neighbourhood planning. He will also examine the heritage ‘sector’ and how it needs to adapt to deal with current challenges and opportunities in the most effective way.
