Edinburgh is renowned for its dramatic stone architecture. What are the sources and types of building stone? Why and how does the stone decay and should the stone be conserved or replaced? Luis Albornoz-Parra of the British Geological Survey will bring some samples for identification and will make suggestions as to where in the city you might see them.
