We are excited to introduce our specialist CPD course series, Old House to Eco-House: A Guide to Retrofitting Historic Buildings, designed by Marianne Suhr, Chartered Building Surveyor and
Co-author of the Old House Eco Handbook.
Each one-day course offers practical, evidence-based guidance on retrofitting historic buildings safely and effectively.
Ideal for conservation officers, architects, retrofit coordinators, surveyors, housing professionals and historic property owners, learn directly from nationally-recognised experts in retrofit, including
Nick Heath, Bob Prewett, Dan McNaughton and James Ayres.
Retrofitting Walls, Floors and Roofs, 12 November 2025
Installing Renewables in Historic Buildings, 10 December 2025
Retrofitting Historic Windows, 14 January 2026
• Identify appropriate insulation strategies for walls, floors and roofs
• Evaluate glazing upgrade options for historic windows
• Assess renewable energy technologies in heritage contexts
• Utilise case studies illustrating successful retrofit interventions
• Deliver moisture-safe, effective retrofit schemes, appropriate to the physics of the building.
